About OneCalcs
OneCalcs is an independent set of calculators for everyday pay, tax and money questions, built one country at a time. It is edited by Morgan Hale (a pen name used by the editorial team) and published by Stellar Capital. It is not affiliated with any government agency or bank.
Editions available now: Australia, Austria, Canada, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom.
How we calculate
- Rates and thresholds come from each country's tax authority and employment regulator. In Australia that means the ATO and the Fair Work Ombudsman; in the United Kingdom, HMRC; in Italy, the Agenzia delle Entrate and INPS. Each calculator page links to the exact source it uses, and each edition has its own sources page.
- Rules are stored by tax year and switch automatically when a new year starts, once its figures are published.
- Every formula is tested against published tables and worked examples before a change goes live. For example, our Australian 2026–27 result for $100,000 matches the ATO's stated $268 tax cut, our Canadian payroll engine reproduces the CRA's published payroll examples, and our Korean withholding matches the official 간이세액표.
- Where a figure for the current year isn't published yet, we use the latest published year and say so on the page.
Limits
Results are estimates for residents of the country shown and are general information, not financial or tax advice. Your actual tax is settled when you file your return.
